Youth Concerts
In 1980, the RSO performed its first concert for area youth, dubbed a "Rug Concert," since children sat on pieces of carpet on the floor. The RSO Youth Concert annually hosts area public, private, parochial, and home schools to attend this educational, 50-minute concert at the Coronado Theatre. Teaching materials, including study guides, are provided to teachers for advanced preparation in the classroom.

The Nutcracker Student Matinee
Join us for this enchanting performance featuring one of the Acts of The Nutcracker Ballet! This performance will be hosted in English and Spanish by Argentinian choreographer and dancer Lucas Segovia.
Tickets: $8, with 1 free chaperone ticket for every 10 students ($8 for each additional adult).
Registration is required.
Spring Youth Concert: Carnival of the Animals
Join us as we explore the sounds of the orchestra and the sounds of the animal kingdom! Students will learn more about classical music as they experience this captivating work alongside Boléro, one of the world’s most famous crescendos! This program is designed for 3rd-6th grade, but all are welcome!
