Featuring the Rockford Symphony Youth Orchestra Honors Chamber Orchestra and the Sterling String Quartet performing works by Haydn and Jenkins.
This shorter concert featuring student musicians is a great way to spend an afternoon and to introduce younger family members to an orchestral concert experience!
The RSYO Honors Chamber Orchestra is a select group of the RSYO’s most advanced students who perform an additional concert each semester, featuring more challenging repertoire. The Chamber Concerts often also feature the Sterling String Quartet, RSYO Brass Quintet, and RSYO Woodwind Quintet.
*The Sterling String Quartet is named in honor of Bill and Marian Sterling whose gift to the RSO includes an annual contribution to fund coaching for the quartet.
