Digital Concert Guide

The RSO has switched from a printed program to a Digital Concert Guide. This format allows us to share more information with you, save money on printing costs that we can invest back into the music you love, and is more environmentally friendly. We continue to recognize our donors in the Digital Concert Guide, as well as in our Annual Report.

You will be able to access the guide from links on our website, a link sent out in the Know Before You Go email, and by scanning a QR code using your smartphone once your arrive at the concert. Learn more about this guide and what it means for your concert experience below.

View the video below to learn how to access the RSO’s Digital Concert Guide on your smartphone using a printed QR code.

  • There are two main factors: we are saving the RSO a considerable amount of money and we are being environmentally responsible. Plus, we can provide more information to patrons in an easy-to-read format that allows up-to-the-second updates!

  • So do we! Each concert there will be a program card which provides the dates, title, and program of each concert. These are professionally printed and will be something to put in that scrapbook!

  • The guide is designed with colors that minimize the light being distributed. Other symphonies who have made the switch to Digital Concert Guides report that their audiences do not have this problem. Also, symphony attendees have reported that it is less distracting than when patrons turn on their phone’s flashlight to read the printed program guides!

  • No problem. We have developed an easy-to-understand short video to demonstrate and we will have many helpers available at concerts to help. It’s very easy! The link to the Digital Concert Guide will be available on our website in advance, as well as sent out in the Know Before You Go email. The QR code to access the link will be printed on a program card distributed at concerts and on large posters throughout the theater. Ushers, volunteers, and staff will be on hand to help you.

  • No problem! Just have your phone set to large print and the Digital Concert Guide will automatically adjust.

  • You can access and read the Digital Concert Guide, including program notes and artist bios, at home on your computer before or after the concert. You will still receive a printed program card to follow along with while in the theater.

  • No! The Digital Concert Guide is produced in our administrative offices just like the paper one. We are using a company called Instant Encore to provide the format and to store the guides so they are available before and after concerts.
