The Rockford Symphony Orchestra and Rockford Dance Company are honored to be the recipients of a gift from the Friends of the Coronado that will underwrite the cost of admission to the 2019 Nutcracker Student Matinee. With this generous gift, students and up to 1 chaperone per 10 students, will experience the Nutcracker Student matinee at no cost.
Regional students will attend an hour-long performance featuring a condensed version of the beloved ballet. Participating teachers may download the educational guide below.
The Rockford Dance Company and the Rockford Symphony Orchestra are pleased to provide area students with this one-hour abbreviated production of the classic holiday favorite The Nutcracker. Pre-performance teaching packets for teachers prepare the students for this unique experience.
Live music from the Rockford Symphony Orchestra along with a beautifully choreographed ballet, vibrant sets, and dazzling costumes make this the premier production in Northern Illinois and a wonderful way to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season.
Thank you for your interest in bringing your students to a performance! Unfortunately, Nutcracker Student Matinee performances are full for 2019.
