Amanda Assucena

Amanda Assucena started ballet at the age of 8 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At age 14, she moved to the United States and completed her ballet studies at The Harid Conservatory in Florida. Amanda joined The Joffrey Ballet company in 2013, and since then has performed works by world renowned choreographers like Christopher Wheeldon, George Balanchine, Frederick Ashton, Liam Scarlett, Wayne McGregor, Jiří Kylián, John Neumeier, and Yuri Possokhov. Her repertoire includes lead roles such as Juliet, Cinderella, Odette/Odile, Giselle, Sugarplum Fairy, Anna Karenina, and Jane Eyre.
