Rockford Symphony Orchestra honors Steven Larsen with Roast

Rockford, IL – The Rockford Symphony Orchestra will honor Music Director Steven Larsen's 25 years with the Symphony by hosting a "Roast the Maestro" event on September 18 at Giovanni's.

The evening will feature a number of friends and colleagues who will have the opportunity to "Roast" Steven by sharing their favorite “Maestro” stories and experiences over the years.  The roasters are people that have a special connection to Steve and are raising funds in his honor to support his career passion, the RSO.

The Roasters are: Jon Mortenson, RSO Principal Timpanist; Dr. Brian Bear, Friend and RSO supporter; Fred Young, Friend and RSO supporter; Joel Ross, RSO Musician; Patricia Demirjian, Longtime friend. Principal Trumpet Mark Baldin will be Master of Ceremonies and appearances will be made from some very special surprise guests. Reservations must be made by September 12.
