What is the deadline for subscribing?
Renewals for current subscribers for the 2013/14 season will begin on February 9, 2013. New subcriptions will be accepted beginning in mid-March and will be seated after May 1, 2013 in the order that they are received. Subscriptions are available until there are fewer than three performances left in the season.

How can I get better seats?
While everyone can request upgraded seats, preference is given to current subscribers. Distribution of open or released seats is given priority based on donor levels, volunteer investment, and the date the request is received. Donors at the Founder’s Club level or higher are given special seating priority. We do our best to accommodate all seating requests but cannot guarantee this at the time of your renewal.

What are the best seats?
We are very pleased that the Coronado Theatre offers excellent seating in all areas. What is considered “best” varies by patron. We are fortunate that the theatre is designed so that many Upper Balcony seats are as close to the stage as Rear Orchestra. Click here to view the stage from different seating sections to determine your preference.

What is your policy on refunds?
Unfortunately, we are unable to give any refunds. All sales are final however RSO Subscribers can take advantage of our easy exchange policy.

What time are concerts and how long do they last?
RSO Classics and Pops Concerts are held at the Coronado Theatre (314 North Main Street) on Saturday evenings, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for Classics concerts, and an hour before the start time for all other performances. Concerts are typically two hours long, with a twenty-minute intermission. Start times for special events vary.

Is there seating for people with special needs?
The Coronado Theatre is accessible to patrons with disabilities. There is handicapped seating on the main floor as well as in the balcony. Audio equipment is also available. Call the RSO Office at 815-965-0049 for more information about special needs seating options.

Would my children enjoy coming to the symphony?
Yes! Children age six or older are welcome at RSO Classics and Pops concerts for a special rate of $7 per ticket, though Classics concerts are best enjoyed by children ages twelve and up. The Coronado Theatre loans patrons booster seats for our younger audience members.

Where can we park?
Parking at the Coronado is available in the parking deck directly across the street from the theater for a nominal fee. There are also several surface lots nearby, including the Memorial Hall lot on the corner of Mulberry and Main, the Waterworks lot on the corner of Wyman and Park, and the lot behind the Rockford Public Library.
