YOU can make a difference for the RSO! Contributions allow the Rockford Symphony Orchestra to provide enlightening musical experiences and engaging educational opportunities for people of all ages. Through the generosity of our patrons, this past season we were thrilled to bring you Gershwin’s Piano Concerto featuring one of my favorite pianists David Syme, John Rutter’s chorale masterpiece Gloria with the Mendelssohn Chorale, and Bernstein’s delightful Symphonic Dances.

Because the RSO is a respected cultural institution in our region, I strive to craft creative and exciting programs, and next season is no exception. The 2012/13 season – Music that Changed the World - will offer an extraordinary repertoire that demands large orchestras and world class guest artists, including masterpieces like Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Handel’s Messiah, and Paganini’s Violin Concerto, as well as the wildly popular Classical Mystery Tour Beatles tribute band.
